"Imagine my surprise when this beautifully hideous, inexplicable sound hit my ears. Run At The Dog throws together beatboxing, vocal harmonies, driving beats, choppy riffs, and anything else into a giant mixing bowl, and turns out a sound that’s fittingly odd. Their sound takes me back to a time when a number of really great bands (Stump, Mr. Bungle, Primus, Ween, Boredoms, eX-Girl, Soul Coughing, and so many more) used the exploding popularity of the grunge and alternative scene to successfully produce and distribute music with the intent of not sounding right. If I wasn’t listening to Scutigera, Yeah! as I write this, I might have thought that this style of weird music had passed into obscurity. Thank goodness somebody still takes the time to make music like this ... " (Chuck Peckham, Ve)
